Please ask me any questions if you are unsure of anything. I want nothing more than for you to feel comfortable working together.
I provide website design, development, and related services as agreed upon in the project proposal or contract. The scope of work, timeline, and costs will be outlined before starting any project.
Post-Launch Support:
Minor issues may arise after launch; I will be on hand to support you during this period at no additional charge. Small tweaks and fixes are included in this support. More complex changes—such as adding a whole new page—may incur an additional hourly fee.
Ongoing Updates & Changes:
After one month from launch, further updates, edits, or maintenance will be charged at an hourly or day rate, which can be discussed based on your needs and budget.
2.1.1 Honest Estimates & Long-Term Transparency
I’m here to provide honest and realistic quotes, both in terms of time and cost. You’ll always know up front how long I expect something to take and what it’s likely to cost, whether that’s a quick update or a bigger piece of work. I don’t believe in stretching out work just to add extra hours. My aim is to deliver great results efficiently and transparently, so you feel confident at every stage.
I genuinely value long-term relationships with my clients and hope to be someone you can rely on for years to come. That trust starts with being open and fair from day one.
Clients agree to:
To build an effective and accurate website, I will require content (such as written copy, images, and any relevant documents) from you. Ideally, this should be provided in advance so I can begin the project with all necessary materials.
However, I understand that content creation can take time. In the meantime, I can use placeholder (“dummy”) text and stock imagery to progress with the design and layout. This allows the build to move forward while you finalise your content. If you require stock images, I can source and provide these for you. Please note, this may incur additional licensing or sourcing charges, which will be discussed with you beforehand.
As you are the expert in your own industry, your input is vital. While I can design and structure the site, I rely on your feedback to ensure that all content is accurate and relevant before anything is published. One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is learning about the unique nature of each business I work with—but ultimately, no one knows your business better than you.
As a freelance web designer, I may not always be available for face-to-face meetings due to workload, travel, and personal commitments. However, I will always do my best to support you remotely via email, text, or WhatsApp. Most queries can be resolved quickly and efficiently this way.
My working hours are flexible and may vary depending on family commitments. While I aim to work within standard business hours (9am–5pm), there may be days when this isn’t possible. In such cases, I often make up time during evenings or occasional weekends, depending on availability. Please note that while I may be working on your project during these times, direct communication may be limited outside of normal hours unless agreed in advance.
Public holidays: I generally observe public holidays and may limit communication during these periods, unless you’ve let me know you’re also available to chat. I wouldn’t expect to hear much from you during these periods either, so no pressure at all.
Typical website projects include:
Additional revisions beyond the included rounds will be billed at my hourly/day rate.
Once final payment is received:
While I’ll do my best to present your business professionally online, you know your industry far better than I ever could
So, if your business operates in a regulated field (like health, finance, legal, or education), it’s important that any content you provide or approve is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant laws or industry standards. I can help shape how it’s presented, but I can’t offer legal or regulatory advice. That is your area of expertise.
I strive to deliver high-quality work but cannot guarantee the website will be error-free or immune to breaches. I’m afraid I cannot be responsible for issues caused by third-party services, hosting, or post-launch changes made by the client or unauthorised access to your website due to weak passwords or poor security practices beyond my control.
Websites are built to work with the latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). I cannot guarantee compatibility with outdated browsers unless explicitly stated in the project scope.
I am unable to be held liable for delays or failure to fulfil obligations due to events beyond my control, such as natural disasters, illness, war, technical outages, or other unforeseen circumstances.
After your website has launched, I offer optional monthly maintenance packages to help keep things running smoothly. These plans can include software and plugin updates, regular security checks, backups, small content edits, and general support.
While there’s absolutely no obligation to continue working together after launch, I genuinely enjoy staying involved and helping clients grow their online presence over time. Think of it as having a web partner who knows your site inside out and is just a message away.
Maintenance packages start from £35 per month, and can be tailored to your needs and budget. If this is something you’d like to explore, I’d be happy to include it in your quote.
I reserve the right to terminate a project if:
These Terms & Conditions may be updated as needed. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
I provide basic SEO services, such as optimising meta titles, descriptions, and images. However, I do not guarantee top rankings in Google, as SEO results are influenced by many external factors.
For advanced strategies, I recommend hiring an SEO specialist. Please note: SEO changes may take time to be reflected in search engine results.
Upon completion of the project, I can provide basic training or handover documentation to help you manage your website. This is included within the final project stage unless a more in-depth session is requested, in which case additional charges may apply.
If your website includes third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, booking systems, or plugins), I’m happy to assist with setup and basic support. However, any technical issues or downtime caused by these services would be outside of my control. If I become aware of any outages or issues, I will notify you as soon as possible, escalate the matter where appropriate, and keep you updated until services are restored.
Compliance with GDPR and client data responsibilities.
All login details and credentials you provide will be handled securely and will never be shared with any third parties without your explicit consent. I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the confidentiality of all data you share with me, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Any personal or business information provided will only be used for the purpose of delivering your project or related services. Your data will not be sold or passed on to third parties unless it is necessary to complete the agreed work (for example, domain registration, hosting setup, or email configuration), and only with your prior approval.
